Our Journey and Dream
Help us build a safe, loving home for our family. My name is Mario, and together with my wife, Gabriela, and our son, Maximilian, we have finally achieved a lifelong dream of having our own family house in Slovakia. After 15 years of overcoming countless challenges and building a life across Europe, we were finally able to secure a home—a place where our son can grow up and make memories.
This journey hasn’t been easy. As a foreigner living abroad since 2007, we have faced many hurdles, from finding stability to securing a home loan. Despite these difficulties, we made the impossible possible. However, buying our new house came with significant financial strain. The mortgage and renovation loan we secured were at higher rates due to my nationality. Yet, we are determined to make this house our true home.

Our house, built decades ago, needs major renovations to make it safe and comfortable for our family. The primary issue we face is moisture control, which affects the entire structure from the basement to the attic. We also need to address electrical and roofing repairs and revitalize our long-neglected garden, which has become a jungle of wild plants, bushes, and trees.
While we continue to invest all our resources into this project, the costs are overwhelming. We are reaching out to our community for any support you can provide.
